Home and living

Everyone gets overwhelmed sometimes. We get lost in our busy lives. But at the end of the day we all still have question on how to make things less difficult.

I hope to give you some great fun ideas for your home and family!!!

Wonderful tips to help you save time and maybe even save some money!!!

HOME
"It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home."

Here are some great tips on keeping a clean home all the time not just some of the time all the time and in little time!!

1. Plan a schedule or what i like to call a "to do" list that works for you but don't spend all your time making the schedule. Just jot down some thing you know you need to get done around the hows that day!

2. De-clutter, De-clutter, De-clutter. Get rid of the junk!!! Half of what you have you don't need.
Rule of thumb: If you haven't worn it, used it, or seen it in the past 6 months get rid of it!!!
It May take you some time to do this the first time but it will make your cleaning in the future much faster!!!!

3. Pick up, pick up!!! If your anything like me you would rather do this yourself because you know it will be done right but if you can get your family in on it that would be wonderful and save you all some time..
When you go into a room if something is sitting out get yourself into the habit of picking it up!
That way when it is time to clean you have less to PICK UP!!!

4. Use the time you have!!! One of the best tips of all is this one. I do it all the time. Life is very busy and many people don't have the time they use to. So while your on the phone with family or your sons baseball coach clean out a desk drawer or your hand bag. Put the dishes away or make your to do list for the next day!! These small things can really make a huge difference in the amount of time you spend cleaning!! Tip: save some time by cleaning the bathroom while supervising yor kids in the tub.

5. A Clean Kitchen!!! When your kitchen is clean, your whole house seems cleaner and you'll feel better about picking up the rest of the house!! Try it and let me know how it works!

Marriage / Relationship
Don't let him/her forget about you and don't forget about them!! You fell in love for a reason don't let your busy lives make you forget about those reasons..

  • Leave him/her a note to find just to let them know your still thinking about them.
  • Try your best to have date night once a month. Plan dinner, movies or even a walk just to talk and be together! Just the two of you!

"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. Mark 10:9"

  • Make a coupon book for him or her. Put in different coupons such as this entitles you to one date night for where you choose, I will do the laundry, I cook dinner, I give the kids a bath or i will mow the lawn. This is very cheap! It can be allot of fun and very helpful!! He/she will appreciate it more then you might think!!

  • Buy her/him a dozen roses, or even just a few, take one of the roses out and place it with a fake rose. Then when you give them to her/him, tell them you will love her until the last petal withers away. This is the best idea ever, trust me it will make there heart melt!!!

  • Put a different flower in the middle of a bunch of roses, send it to his/her work on the card write..."This (whatever flower you put in. Lilly, Dasie ext..) is how I feel about you, there may be allot of the others but there is only one for me and that is you! Or this Lilly is you, your different from all the rest! I LOVE YOU!!!

  • Don't hold onto baggage: Every relationship has it's difficulties. Discard the emotional baggage, focus on all the good times. The relationship will be much happier.

  • Touch Each Other: Everyday touch each other. Cuddle, a small touch, a caress, anything. It can have incredible results in your relationship. It will make you and your partner happier and can even stop some anger issues.

Family

"The love of a family is life's greatest blessing"

  • Movies and Games!!! Pick one night a week to all get together and spend time as a family. "family night" You don't have time?? Make time!! This will give you a chance to reconnect with your loved ones. Pick a game or sit down for a Movie!!

  • Put the cell phones away!! When on vacation or on "family night" try your best to put your cell phones away/ turn them off. The outside world can wait while you are spending time with your family!

  • Take a break: Everyone needs a break from being a parent once in a while. It does NOT make you a bad person. it's just how we were made. If you feel yourself getting frustrated or overwhelmed, get out for a bit. Do something by yourself, when you get back you will feel refreshed and calm. Me time is important for anyone. It's up to you to realize how important it is for you.

Tips

  • Carpet stains: rub shaving cream on the stain. Wipe clean with a wet sponge.

  • Blood Stains: if you get a blood stain on your clothes use peroxide on the stain. Repeat until stain is gone.

  • Dryer sheets: in your drawers, towels and linens will keep them smelling clean.

  • Baby oil & Baby wipes: can also be used as make-up remover

  • Crock pot: this is one of the fastest ways to cook good filling meal in no time. It does the work for you.

  • Sun Burn: put vinegar on it! I know it sounds funny but it makes the sting go away! : vinegar is also great to put in your dishwasher to remove soap scum.

  • Urine: you can also put vinegar on a urine spot to make the smell go away.. Baking soda works great too

  • Conditioner: Use hair conditioner to shave instead of shave cream. It keeps your skin smooth and saves money. I think it works better anyways.

  • Lemon Juice: sock your nails in to remove stains

Recipe of the day::

Taco Bake

1/2lb. ground beef

1 (103/4 once) can tomato soup

1cup salsa

1/2 cup of milk

6 flour tortillas cut into 1-inch pieces

1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded

In large skillet, brown beef until thoroughly cooked. Drain. Add soup, milk, tortillas and half of the cheese. Put into a 2-quart backing dish cover and bake at 400 for 30 minutes or until hot. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. And serve.

IF IT'S NOT DIRTY DON'T CLEAN IT!!!

IF IT'S NOT BROKEN DON'T FIX IT!!!

IF IT'S HURT KISS IT BETTER!!!

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can;and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;"
